Need volunteer hours this Summer? Join the Teen Advisory Board and help with our Summer Reading Program!
The Monrovia Public Library’s Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a group of teens in 7th – 12th grade committed to helping the library and the community.
Members meet the first available Monday of each month at 5pm in the library's Community Room to help with the planning and implementation of teen programs, signup for volunteer opportunities, recommend materials for the library to purchase, and talk about ways to make the teen library experience better.
During the Summer, TAB members run a Summer Reading Information Booth in the Library's lobby.
At the Information Booth volunteers: Sign people up for the Summer Reading Program, Give away prizes, and answer questions about the Summer Reading Program.
Attending the Summer Reading Volunteer Orientation is mandatory for current and new members in order to volunteer at the Summer Reading Information Booth. For new members, there will be a New Member Orientation following the Summer Orientation to go over the regular TAB requirements.
The Summer Reading Volunteer Orientation is for current TAB members. Teens must already be a TAB member or have submitted a new member application to join. For an application, visit our website or ask at the Library's front desk.
