Program Description

Event Details

Monrovia is kicking off a new community tradition this winter with One City, One Story, a citywide program that invites everyone to read the same book and come together through conversation, art, and nature. From January through March, we’ll be reading The Bear by Andrew Krivak, a beautiful story about connection, resilience, and hope. Plus, there will be special companion books for younger readers as well, generously provided by Monrovia Reads (while supplies last). Don’t miss out on park read-ins, creative workshops, and a big kickoff celebration in Library Park on January 24. It’s all about bringing people together, celebrating our city, and reminding us how stories connect us all.

The kickoff event will feature community partners hosting fun activities, informational demonstrations, crafts, and raffle prizes. All ages are welcome!
