Event Details
Making your own garden dirt is cool. As a part of Book to Action, you can give new life to your kitchen scraps while giving your garden a sustainable, nutritious boost. The DIY compost bin kit comes with instructions and tips on how to best participate in composting.
This take-home activity is for adults and teens 16+. Supplies will be provided in assembled kits. Please allow for one kit per household. Sign-up for this event to reserve your kit and receive a Zoom invitation.
Book to Action 2021
Our 2021 Book to Action event series kicks off this Spring on Wednesday, April 21st! The theme this year is Sustainability and the chosen book is Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Call or text the Library to reserve a free copy to keep! Read the book along with us and participate in our event series to learn more about caring for our community and the planet. All ages are welcome to participate in Book to Action, though please note that all events are geared towards adults and teens.
