The Monrovia Public Library is a proud participant in Book to Action 2021, a grant initiative by the California Center for the Book that helps libraries tackle important issues in the community and encourage reading, community discussion, and action by taking the basic book club concept and expanding it to create a dynamic series of events aimed at adults and intergenerational groups.

Our chosen book for a community-wide read this Spring is Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. To receive a free copy using our Curbside Pickup Service, please register below. Please only register for one book per household as limited copies are available. Copies will be available for pickup starting on April 1st! Ebook and digital audiobook copies are also available through OverDrive/Libby.

If you choose to read or listen to a digital copy of the book, please be sure to download the documents in this event listing. They explain how to participate in our passive book discussion and our Action Tic-Tac-Toe to win raffle prizes!
