Program Description

Event Details

In this 2-hour workshop, you will learn tips and tricks for starting your own home garden from the Monrovia Community Garden experts and you’ll walk away with the materials to create a birdseed ornament to enjoy at home. Join us to help your home garden flourish and to feel inspired to continue connecting with nature. Join us in an atmosphere for new and experienced makers looking for their next DIY project. All materials are provided.

Gather & Make Workshops were developed for the purpose of creating an inviting space for members to practice different mediums. Taught by experienced makers, these workshops are to cultivate a creative community and explore different mediums in a supportive environment.

This event is a part of our Book to Action series. All attendees will have a chance at winning a free copy of The Hidden Life of Trees by Peter Wohlleben. Read the book and feel inspired to protect and enjoy the trees of Monrovia!

A special thank you to California Center for the Book (CCFB) and its Book to Action grant for supporting this series. CCFB is a program of the California Library Association, supported in whole or in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian.
