The event will explore ways Californians can come together and make both individual and collective change for a more sustainable future. A virtual conversation is scheduled for Thursday, April 22 (Earth Day), 2021 from 6:00pm – 7:00pm. Participating libraries and community members will be invited to join others across the state for this special event.

Book to Action 2021

Our 2021 Book to Action event series has begun! The theme this year is Sustainability and the chosen book is Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teachings of Plants by Robin Wall Kimmerer. Reserve your copy of the book here or call or text the Library. Ebook and digital audiobook copies are also available with your Monrovia Library card. Read the book along with us and participate in our event series to learn more about caring for our community and the planet. All ages are welcome to participate in Book to Action, though please note that all events are geared towards adults and teens.
